Double-faced PET Film Tape |
 |
Slion Tape No. 5622 is a double-faced tape with polyester film used as the base material. Slion Tape No. 5622 provides excellent adhesion to low surface energy materials (PP and PE) and EPDM foams, etc. In addition, Slion Tape No. 5622 provides excellent adhesion for adherends with oily surfaces (grease, etc.) and in wet conditions.
Furthermore, Slion Tape No. 5622 uses adhesives with low elusion rates with regard to acidic and basic liquids. Slion Tape No. 5622 is suited for an application where chemical resistance is required. |
 |
 |
(1) For fixing vehicle related members with oily surfaces
(2) For bonding olefins (PP and PE) and foams (EPDM).
(3) For fixing members where chemical resistance (acids and alkalis) is required. |

Tape was affixed to stainless steel applied with a predetermined amount of automotive oil. A 2 kg roller was rolled back and forth once to apply pressure, and the stainless steel with the tape affixed was left to stand for 20 minutes, during which time adhesion was measured. |
 |
Tape was affixed to stainless steel with 4 g/m 2 oil applied, and pressure was applied by rolling a 2 kg roller back and forth once in order to securely affix the tape. The stainless steel with the tape affixed was left to stand for a predetermined time, and the adhesion was measured.
- Rate of decrease of adhesion:
- The rate of decrease was measured using an adhesion to clean stainless steel set at 100.

(1) |
When this tape is affixed to oily surface or wet surfaces, adhesion will be lowered when large volumes of oil or moisture are present. Thoroughly wipe away oil and moisture as far as possible. |
(2) |
This tape may become difficult to be affix when the temperature of the surface to which this tape is to be affixed is low. In such a case, warm the surface before affixing this tape. |
(3) |
The tape cannot be affixed if dirt or dust is present. Remove dirt and dust before affixing this tape. |
(4) |
Apply pressure thoroughly after affixing this tape. |
(5) |
When storing this tape, avoid locations exposed to direct sunlight and heat sources such as space heaters, etc, and store in a cool dark location. |
(6) |
Do not use this tape for electrical insulation. |
(7) |
Do not affix this tape directly to furniture, walls, glass, car bodies, or the skin. |
(8) |
This tape may contaminate surfaces or leave adhesive on surfaces depending on the material to which it is to be affixed. Before affixing this tape to personal or valuable objects, please determine that it is safe to do so beforehand. |
