Heat Resistant High Adhesion Double-faced Tape |
|
Slion Tape No.5579 is a double-faced adhesive tape using plastic foam backing coated on both sides with strong adhesive that has excellent resistance to heat and weather. As it has higher adhesive properties than general double-faced adhesive tape, it can be used for structural applications. It can also be used to join different materials because of its ability to follow variations and distortions on objects it is applied to. |

| Test method: JIS Z 1541 & 0237 |
|
• Adhesion: |
Through intermediary of Aluminum foil (0.130mm) press each adherends with 5kg roller for 1 back and forth. After 72 hours measure the peel adhesion at 90 degree angel (speed: 300mm/min). |
• Shear adhesion: |
Apply the specimen to stainless steel plate, then press with 5kg roller for 1 back and forth, 72 hours later measure at 23 deg C speed 50mm/min. |
• Holding power: |
According to JIS Z 1541, apply specimen to stainless steel plate at 40, 80 and 180 deg C measure the creep after weigh it with 9.8N weight. |

| Standard Size and packaging |

Sufficient adhesive strength may not be obtained if the surface the tape is being applied to is dirty. Remove any dirt, dust, moisture, oil, etc. before applying the tape. |
(2) |
Avoid direct hand contact to the adhesive surface. |
(3) |
When the tape is rewound to the oblique direction, release liner may go misaligned. Be careful while rewinding. |
(4) |
Apply pressure after applying the tape by using 5kg load roller, etc. for even pressing. Give enough pressure as this tape has low initial adhesion. |
(5) |
Avoid using this tape for fixing items subject to strong force couple of hours after application. Radical adhesion can be obtainable after 24 hours from application. |
(6) |
When the tape is applied to wrong place and needs to be re-applied, use new tape. |
(7) |
Bonding property of this tape under 15 deg. C is not good as it is designed to be used around 23 deg. C. Please check that the tape works well before use. |
(8) |
Store the tape in a cool place, avoiding heat sources such as direct sunlight and heating equipment. |
(9) |
Do not use for electrical insulation as this is not insulation tape. |
(10) |
Do not directly apply the tape to furniture, walls, glass, vinyl chloride products, car bodies, etc. as this may result in adhesive deposits, discoloration or peeling of paint. |
(11) |
This tape is not designed for application to skin. Do not directly apply to skin as this may result in a rash or adhesive deposit. |
(12) |
Depending upon the type of material which to be applied to, this tape may leave adhesive residue or contaminate the adherent. Check well before use. |
